(via Twitter And Pinterest In Social Commerce - Business Insider)
It wasn’t so long ago that Twitter was thought to be a non-starter for retail, and many suspected Pinterest might not drive enough volume, but recent data has shown that they’re both driving significant e-commerce traffic.
During the second quarter of this year, Pinterest accounted for 23% of social-generated e-commerce sales and Twitter 22%. Facebook’s share was slightly higher, at 28%.
But a year ago the space looked extremely different. Pinterest was a blip, and accounted for just 2% of social commerce. Facebook dominated with a whopping 55% of social-mediated e-commerce sales.
At BI Intelligence, Business Insider’s paid subscription service, we recently analyzed over 15 datasets culled from a variety of sources to probe the viability of social media as a commerce and retail-driver. We published our insights in a recent report, “The New Art Of Social Commerce: How Brands And Retailers Are Converting Tweets, Pins, And Likes Into Sales.”

Jetzt auch mit Unterstützung für Amazon.de

Liebe Wenigleser,

wir freuen uns mitteilen zu können, dass IReadLess jetzt auch deutsche Kundenrezensionen von Amazon.de unterstützt.

Beispiel: Canon PowerShot SX 260 HS Digitalkamera

Euer IReadLess Team

IReadLess compares and you should, too!

Hooray again :-)

we are happy to announce the release of our brand new Product-Comparison feature. No, it is not yet-another-price-comparison. We don’t compare prices. We compare opinions about product features and attributes.

Click to watch an example.

image

On each product page you now see a button “Add to compare” where you  can add the current item to the comparison. You can add up to 5 items and compare how good the features where rated in Amazon customer reviews.

The features displayed on top are common features which where mentioned for all products you are currently comparing. You can also show features which were not mentioned for all products.

We find this new feature makes IReadLess even more useful for you and we already got great feedback from our beta testers. We hope you like it too.

You can help us by blogging, tweeting, facebooking and spreading the word about us.

IReadLess is here

Hello. My name is IReadLess and I can help you to read less.

image

We are happy to announce the first public release of IReadLess.com

With a single click IReadLess.com reads customer reviews for you and shows best- and worst-rated product features.

What is the problem it is trying to solve?

Most of the products on shopping sites like Amazon already have hundreds or thousands of customer reviews.  But often we find ourselves asking questions like this:

  • "What are the people writing about?".
  • "What do people think about the lens of the digital camera I want to buy?"
  • "Do the people like the battery life time of this phone or not?"
  • "What are the features they write positive or negative about?"

…and so on.

These are the questions we are trying to answer.

But what about the existing 5-star ratings?

That is a valid question. Most of us just look at the 5 star-rating as a first guide, but then we also read the reviews, as 5 stars do not answer the questions above. They are just a vague indication about what the reviewer thought about the product in general. But they don’t tell you if a specific product feature was good or not.

This is why we created IReadLess.com. Reading hundreds of reviews is very time consuming. We wanted to have a better way to read less, save time and buy better products.

How does it work?

We tried to make it simple. You visit IReadLess.com and drag the bookmarklet into the bookmark bar of your browser.
That’s it to get started. Now you can go to any Amazon product page, click the bookmark and you are done.

IReadLess now gets busy, reads the reviews for you, crunches some numbers and presents you the results

You can drill down and click on each feature we have recognized to see what exactly the reviewer was saying.

We need you!

IReadLess just started, we are showing it to the world the first time, it still has glitches, but we know it.
But this should be just the beginning.

Over the next weeks we will listen to you, collect feedback and try to improve the service in all areas. We also want to support more shopping sites and more languages. That all is a lot of work and we just start somewhere.

You are more than welcome to give us feedback through the various channels and networks. Spread the word about us, retweet, like us, reblog us, but also tell us if something does not work, looks strange, is wrong. We really appreciate any feedback.

That’s it. We are here.

Have fun with IReadLess.
Your Synesty Team
